Capital Clubhouse Benefit 2019
On October 23, 2019, Capital Clubhouse held its annual benefit at the Embassy of New Zealand, co-hosted by Her Excellency Ambassador Rosemary Banks. Two hundred and fifty people gathered to hear stories from current Capital Clubhouse members on the community they are creating for individuals with mental illness in the national capital region. Ambassador Banks welcomed the guests, and the keynote speech was delivered by the Honorable Joseph Kennedy III, who accepted an award on behalf of his cousin, former Congressman and tireless mental health advocate, the Honorable Patrick Kennedy. Hakaworks, New Zealand's premiere Maori dance company, thrilled the guests with a traditional Maori welcoming dance. The Board and Benefit Committee would like to thank the Embassy of New Zealand as well as our other generous sponsors and donors:
Her Excellency Ambassador Rosemary Banks and the Honorable Joseph Kennedy III, with Capital Clubhouse Board Member Louise Ross.
